Defining Your Role

I heard something very profound today at Mops that I wanted to share about motherhood. We had a guest speaker discuss is views on parenting and he defined our roles as mothers. He hit it dead on in terms of raising well rounded  Christ centered kids.  He referenced Deuteronomy 6:4-9.
4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one.[a]5 Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. 6 These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. 7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. 8 Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. 9 Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.
The pastor stated unless we are loving God with abandon, we are missing out on our calling. So my question to you as a mother is whether or not you've abandoned yourself to God; if so cling to the call. Cling to the call that bonds your heart to His and paves the way for your kids.
