You Were Created for This, Heart of the Home Challenge
For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:10.
From the book Momology: A Moms Guide to Shaping Great Kids, about 94 percent of moms believe they were created for a purpose. I wonder how many of us know we were created specifically to be our child's mother. No one else out there can parent our child the way God intended us to. Sure others can mold and shape our children BUT they were knitted within our womb with you in God's mind.
Here's a little secret I discovered, every mom you know is struggling with the same discipline issues, sibling rivalry, chores, sleepless nights, and messy houses, (if your mommy friends aren't admitting to it, then pray for their pride issue). As a matter of fact, the top 5 discipline challenges a mom faces are:
1. Getting my child to listen.
2. Teaching my child to respond without sassing or arguing.
3. Sibling rivalry.
4. Being consistent & firm when challenged by my child.
5. Correcting negative physical behaviors such as biting or hitting.

Do these stats make you feel better yet? My point is this, God created you to be the parent of your child. He created you with the intuition, nurturing, and ability to what makes your child tick. You have the chance to mold your child into becoming who God created him or her to be. So when your mornings seem like you woke up on the wrong side of the bed (and your kids too, for that matter) or you are faced with some tough parenting issues; remember God prepared you with the skills necessary to face your child's toughest challenges. Take this verse, write it on a few note card and place them in a handy spot so you are aware of them the when the next parenting challenge comes your way.
