Love has Roots
Heather was born to a miner in Colorado, Glenwood Springs. She's the second oldest of five siblings. When her parents divorced at the age of 12, her mother moved the kids from Suhaurita, Arizona, to Newcastle, Wyoming. Throughout high school Heather worked and helped care for her siblings while her mom earned a Nursing Degree. At the age of 17, Heather learned she was pregnant. Within five months, she graduated high school, moved out of her mom's home, married to her high school sweetheart, and gave birth to a 9lb 3oz baby girl, Cheyenne.
After her husband graduated from college, they moved their new little family to Kearney, Nebraska where Heather pursued various majors before settling on Criminal Justice all the while God was pursuing her heart. On March 23, 2004 after a series of well timed events, Heather committed her life to Christ. Since that night, God has restored her heart, redeemed her family, and added to Cheyenne's siblings. Heather now has three children and stays at home chasing after them, blogging, writing, and working with her Teen MOPS group and morning MOPS group.
She enjoys sharing about the love and redemption of her Father God, and is transparent about life experiences like teenage pregnancy, depression, self harm, addictions, and remaining faithful in her calling as God's ambassador for women and teens alike. The legacy she wants to leave her children and women alike is to know the passionate redeeming love of God.
