In one weekend, I went from laughing about the outrageous hats photographed from the Royal Wedding to fear of what is come over the death of Bin Laden. I was outraged that he even used one of his wives as a shield. Disgust was what I felt when the news told of his whereabouts, hiding in plain sight in front of a military academy in Pakistan.
I fear of the repercussions his death will have on our country and others that his regime has targeted over the years. I fear for the innocent blood that will inevitably be shed. The hunt is over to kill Bin Laden but Terrorism is still alive and well in many bitter hearts. The war is far from over. As my fear resided as I lay in bed, Mathew 10:28 came to mind; Jesus said, "Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Hell." I need not fear over what any man can do, and this is something I need to teach my children. Instead of being in fear, I hand it over to God and embrace the day. I'll embrace the life He's given and the plans He has for us. I'll embrace the day knowing that we are in His hands, no man or terror can tear me from it.
